The Edwards SIGA-HCD is an intelligent addressable heat and carbon monoxide multisensor detector for Edwards Signature Series fire alarm systems. First, it combines a thermal sensing element with an electrochemical CO sensor in a single addressable head. As a result, you cover two life-safety hazards from one device address.
Specifically, the SIGA-HCD reports heat and CO data back to the panel over Edwards’ Signature Series SLC. Therefore, the panel can apply combined-sensor decision logic to reduce nuisance trips.
How the Edwards SIGA-HCD Works
The detector reports continuous heat and CO sensor values to the host Signature panel. Furthermore, the panel runs the alarm-decision algorithm rather than the head itself. As a result, alarm thresholds and combined-sensor logic stay programmable at the panel.
In addition, the SIGA-HCD installs on standard Signature Series detector bases. Therefore, retrofits into existing Signature footprints are straightforward.
