The Simplex 4007-9802 is a 25 VDC regulator module for the 4007ES fire alarm control panel. First, the module produces a regulated 25 VDC output rail. As a result, it supplies the steady voltage required by Zone/Relay modules that drive 25 VDC nominal initiating devices.
Specifically, this regulator mounts inside the 4007ES enclosure as an optional power module. Then it draws from the panel’s primary 24 VDC supply. It steps the output up to the 25 VDC level required for certain Simplex circuits. Maximum output is 2 amperes.
Where the Simplex 4007-9802 fits
Many fire alarm contractors deploy this module during 4007ES expansions. For example, adding more Zone/Relay modules can push current demand past the base regulator’s capacity. In addition, the unit helps maintain consistent rail voltage across longer field wiring runs.
Typical applications include hospitals, schools, office buildings, and other commercial sites running the 4007ES platform. However, this module is dedicated to the 4007ES. As a result, it is not a drop-in part for the older 4002, 4100, or 4120 platforms.
