Edwards EST (SIGA-IB) Smoke Detector Mounting Base & Fault Isolator

The Edwards SIGA-IB is an Isolator Detector Base for the Signature Series. Specifically, it adds short-circuit fault isolation around any compatible Signature Series detector head.

First, the SIGA-IB sits between the Signature loop and the detector head. Then, on a wiring fault, it opens both Data In and Data Out so the rest of the loop keeps running. Therefore the panel still sees every other device on the Signature Data Circuit.

Wiring notes

Terminal assignments are 2 (DATA IN/OUT +), 3 (DATA IN -), and 6 (DATA OUT -); terminals 1, 4, 5, and 7 are not used. In addition, the installer must break the wire run at each terminal. Do not loop signaling-circuit field wires around the terminals, because this defeats the isolation function.
