The Potter Electric Signal PAD100-NAC is an addressable notification appliance / releasing circuit module. First, it consumes one SLC loop address. Then, it provides a supervised, programmable output. As a result, integrators add an extra notification or releasing circuit anywhere on the SLC loop.
Potter Electric Signal PAD100-NAC function
The PAD100-NAC works as either a Notification Appliance Circuit (NAC) or a Class B releasing circuit. Specifically, it can wire Class A or Class B as a NAC. In addition, it serves as a Class B releasing output when paired with a Potter releasing panel. Therefore, one part number covers both common addressable output needs.
The module monitors a 16 to 33 VDC auxiliary power feed. As a result, it can detect loss of the host power supply and trouble the panel. However, the PAD100-NAC is not suitable for notification-appliance synchronization.

Important install note
The internal relay may ship in the activated state. Therefore, connect the module to the SLC loop first, reset the control panel, and only then wire the output. As a result, the relay returns to its normal state before any field load is connected.
