The Altronix SMP10 is a 12 or 24 VDC, 10-amp linear power supply board. It is designed for access control and general low-voltage system power. Specifically, the SMP10 is a board-only supply intended for installation inside a separately-purchased enclosure.
It is selectable between 12VDC and 24VDC output. As a result, one board covers two common control voltages.
What the SMP10 Powers
The SMP10 is typically used for access control, CCTV, and burglar alarm system power. In addition, it can supply auxiliary 24VDC loads where a non-fire-listed supply is acceptable.
However, the SMP10 is NOT a UL 864 fire alarm power supply. Therefore, do not specify it for a UL 864 fire alarm install — Altronix’s fire-alarm-listed power supplies are in the AL series (e.g., AL400ULX, AL1024ULX), not the SMP series.
