The DSC PG4945 is a PowerG wireless 2-way magnetic door/window contact with an auxiliary hardwired input. It operates on the 433 MHz PowerG band — the international (CE) variant, not the North American 915 MHz frequency.
The PG4945 is a security/intrusion sensor. Therefore, it pairs with PowerG-compatible intrusion panels — not with fire alarm panels.
First, the internal reed switch monitors a door or window. In addition, an auxiliary hardwired input lets the same transmitter monitor a second dry-contact device. As a result, one PG4945 covers two zones at the install point. Furthermore, PowerG uses adaptive frequency hopping and AES-128 encryption for a jam-resistant link.

Important Frequency Note
The PG4945 is the 433 MHz PowerG variant for international markets. For installations in North America, order the 915 MHz variant PG9945 instead. Also, confirm the panel’s PowerG frequency before ordering. Mixing 433 MHz and 915 MHz devices will not link.
Important Application Note
The PG4945 is an intrusion door/window contact. Therefore, do not install it on a fire alarm SLC or use the auxiliary input as a fire-alarm initiating circuit. For fire-system monitoring, use a listed fire alarm initiating device instead.
