The Silent Knight SK-MONITOR is an addressable input monitor module for intelligent two-wire fire alarm systems. It links a fire alarm control panel to a normally open contact device. As a result, the panel supervises one conventional initiating circuit by address. Therefore, technicians gain point identification for that device. The SK-MONITOR works with Silent Knight intelligent control panels.
What the Silent Knight SK-MONITOR Does
The module supervises a single dry-contact initiating device. For example, it monitors a pull station, waterflow switch, or sprinkler tamper switch. In addition, the circuit stays fully supervised for opens and faults. A panel-controlled LED shows status at the module. Specifically, it flashes green during normal standby. However, it turns red during an alarm.
Wiring and Installation
First, set the module address with the built-in rotary switches. Then choose Class B or Class A input wiring. The SK-MONITOR supports both configurations. In addition, SEMS screw terminals speed up field wiring. The module mounts in a standard 4" square electrical box. This box needs a minimum depth of 2-1/8". Alternatively, use the System Sensor SMB500 surface mount box.
