The Altronix EFLOW3NX4D is a UL 1481 listed power supply and charger for fire protective signaling systems. Specifically, it delivers four PTC-protected, Class 2 power-limited 12VDC or 24VDC outputs at 2 A continuous total.

First, the unit converts 120VAC, 60Hz mains into a selectable 12VDC or 24VDC bus. Then, that bus splits into four PTC-protected outputs for distribution. In addition, a built-in charger maintains the standby battery for fire-alarm hold-up. Therefore, the EFLOW3NX4D supports both day-to-day device loads and battery-backup duty.

Supervised Fire-Alarm Disconnect

Furthermore, the EFLOW3NX4D includes a supervised fire-alarm disconnect input. Specifically, the input accepts a normally-open or normally-closed trigger from the host fire panel. It can also be configured for latching or non-latching operation. As a result, the supply cuts power to non-essential loads (door strikes, mag-locks) when the FACP signals an alarm. A 10K end-of-line resistor supervises the trigger circuit for break monitoring.
