The Edwards 276B-1320 is a single-action, break-glass pull station with double-pole open contacts. First, the user breaks the glass rod to trip the alarm. Then, the latched contacts must be reset with the supplied key. As a result, the station resists accidental or casual activation.
Specifically, the “1320” suffix identifies the double-pole open variant of the 276B family. Therefore, the station provides two independent normally-open contacts. In addition, double-pole switching suits panels that monitor both alarm and a separate supervisory or auxiliary circuit from one initiation point.
Edwards 276B-1320 construction and use
The housing is Lexan (polycarbonate) — lightweight and tamper-resistant in everyday commercial traffic. Furthermore, screw terminals simplify field wiring. Also, mounting is semi-flush or surface. For semi-flush, fit a 4-inch North American square box with a single-gang plaster cover at least 2-1/4 inches (57 mm) deep.
Verified specifications
- Operation: single action, break glass, key reset
- Contact configuration: double pole, normally open
- Operating voltage: 30 VAC / 28 VDC
- Wiring: screw terminals

The 276B-1320 is noncoded — it closes contacts without sending a coded signal. However, the host panel drives the audible and visible notification appliances on alarm. As a result, the station integrates cleanly with any conventional FACP that uses dry-contact initiation.
