The Edwards QSC-5-G-2 is the QSC Basic Package for the QuickStart conventional fire alarm system. First, it includes the 5-option-card wallbox enclosure. Then it adds the PS6 power supply, the CPU, and the backlit LCD display module. The result is a complete factory-bundled conventional control panel.
The suffix code decodes as follows. Specifically, the “5” denotes five option-card spaces. Furthermore, “G” indicates a gray enclosure (vs “R” for red). Finally, “2” calls out the 230 VAC transformer (vs “1” for 115 VAC).

Detector compatibility
The QSC supports both 2-wire and 4-wire conventional smoke detectors. In addition, it works with Edwards EC-series detectors.
What’s included vs sold separately
The QSC-5-G-2 package includes the enclosure, PS6 power supply, CPU, and LCD display. However, option cards (DLD dialer, ZB16-4 zone expander, ZA8-2, ZR8, NT-A annunciator network card, etc.) are ordered separately based on the job’s requirements.
