The Fireray 5000-008 is the single-prism adaptor plate for the FFE Fireray 5000 reflective beam smoke detector system. Specifically, it comes pre-drilled to mount one prism.
First, the installer mounts the 5000-008 onto the Universal Mounting Bracket 5000-005. Then a single prism is attached to the adaptor plate. As a result, the detector head can be aimed at a reflector point across the protected space.

How the 5000-008 Is Used
Typically, this plate is paired with a prism rated for 16 to 160 ft (4.9 to 48.8 m) of beam path. The prism itself is ordered separately. In addition, the 5000-005 bracket must also be purchased separately. Therefore, the 5000-008 is one piece of a complete prism assembly.
Furthermore, the 5000-008 can be combined with the 3000-201 adjustment bracket when fine-angle aiming is needed. As a result, installers gain flexibility in difficult architectural layouts.
