The Gamewell-FCI FVIV-ZS is a four-circuit Gamewell zone splitter for voice-evacuation speaker circuits. Specifically, the unit gives the operator four independently activated speaker zones from a single Gamewell voice panel. As a result, the building can be paged by floor, wing, or sector. In addition, an “All-Call” switch fires every zone at once for general announcements.
How the Gamewell zone splitter activates circuits
Each of the four zones has its own front-panel manual activation switch. Also, an additional switch performs the All-Call function. Therefore, an operator at the FACP can selectively address any combination of the four zones. Furthermore, the FVIV-ZS interfaces with the host fire alarm control panel through normally open relays supplied by that panel.
Where the FVIV-ZS is used
Use this unit in Gamewell voice evacuation systems that require zoned speaker activation. First, identify the four logical zones in the building. Then route each speaker circuit through the FVIV-ZS. As a result, the system can deliver localized evacuation or staged paging during an emergency.
