The Gamewell SLP-RB is the replacement motherboard for the Smart Loop Panel (SLP) in the Gamewell-FCI S3 Series. It is the part you order when an existing S3 panel’s main board needs to be swapped — typically as part of a service replacement or a retrofit upgrade. First, the technician transfers the loop personality card, display, and power supply to the new board. Then the panel comes back online. As a result, the building’s S3 fire alarm system stays in service without a full panel replacement.
What the SLP-RB Provides
The SLP main board is the digital, microprocessor-based heart of the S3 Series intelligent fire alarm control panel. It supports the following capabilities once paired with the appropriate loop card and power supply:
- One SLC loop, expandable to two — Class A or Class B (Style 4, 6, or 7)
- System Sensor protocol: up to 318 devices per loop (636 with two loops)
- Apollo protocol: up to 126 devices per loop (252 with two loops)
- Four Class B (or two Class A) Notification Appliance Circuits — 2.0 A each, 6.0 A total
- Selectable strobe sync: System Sensor, Cooper-Wheelock®, or Gentex™
- Three Form-C relay contacts: Alarm, Trouble, Supervisory — 2 A @ 24 VDC resistive
- Built-in Ethernet port for FocalPoint® Workstation and programming
- RS-485 for the DACT-E3 dialer
- Auto-EOL (EEOL): adjusts to any field EOL resistor from 1 kΩ to 55 kΩ
- TimeCap: holds date/time up to 48 hours without power or battery

Networking
The SLP can run standalone or as a node in a high-speed 625 K baud ARCNET network. In addition, the network supports up to 122 nodes when used with the S3 Series or E3 Series panels — or up to 64 nodes when used with 7100 Series — via twisted-pair or fiber-optic media.
