Compatible Panel
The LA-S408 is intended for the Hochiki FireNET L@titude analog addressable fire alarm control panel. Specifically, it is part of the Latitude chassis assembly. Therefore, it is not a general-purpose remote NAC power supply and not interchangeable with non-Latitude Hochiki panels.
Comparison to the LA-S406
The Latitude line also offers the LA-S406, which is a 5.25-amp power supply. Unlike the LA-S406, the LA-S408 does not require a jumper to switch between 115 VAC and 230 VAC. Instead, the LA-S408 detects input voltage automatically. As a result, specifying the LA-S408 simplifies international and dual-voltage installations.
Installer Notes
Provide AC power to the LA-S408 terminal block from a 15 Amp dedicated branch circuit. Refer to the FireNET L@titude Installation Manual (MAN-1431HA) for full wiring, battery sizing, and supervision procedures. Furthermore, the L@titude system supports both 5.25 A (LA-S406) and 10.25 A (LA-S408) power supplies.
