The Hochiki HSC-220R is a 6-inch conventional relay base for 2-wire fire alarm circuits. It runs on 24 VDC and provides two sets of Form “C” auxiliary relay contacts.
First, the base mounts a compatible Hochiki conventional detector head. Then on alarm, the integrated relays change state. As a result, you can drive door holders, dampers, or auxiliary annunciation.
How the Hochiki HSC-220R Operates
The relays are voltage-free Form “C” pigtail leads. Specifically, contact ratings are 2 A at 30 VDC or 1 A at 120 VAC. Therefore, the relays can interface low-voltage auxiliary loads directly.
In addition, the base sits on a 4-inch octagonal or 4-inch square electrical box. Furthermore, listed end-of-line devices supervise the initiating circuit from the panel side.
