The Altronix LC2 is a 3-conductor, 6-foot AC line cord for Altronix power supplies. Specifically, it provides a strain-relieved factory-style mains connection when an installer needs to replace a cut or missing cord on an Altronix cabinet.
First, the LC2 uses 18 AWG copper conductors rated for 105 °C insulation. Then, a hog-ring strain relief secures the cord into the Altronix cabinet wall. In addition, the cord terminates in a standard three-prong NEMA 5-15 plug for ordinary 120VAC receptacles. As a result, integrators get a code-correct, factory-style line cord without sourcing one from a generic supplier.

What the LC2 Is — and Isn’t
However, the LC2 is a passive mains line cord. Specifically, it carries no UL fire-alarm listing of its own — fire-alarm or access-control compliance flows through the power supply the cord plugs into, not through the cord. Therefore, do not specify the LC2 as an NFPA 72 component. Furthermore, the LC2 is intended as a factory-replacement cord for Altronix power supplies; for other manufacturers’ enclosures, confirm the strain-relief footprint before ordering.
