The System Sensor SBBSPRL is a red wall surface-mount back box for L-Series speakers and speaker strobes. It provides a hard-surface mounting option for these appliances. As a result, installers can mount speakers on concrete, brick, or block walls.
Surface mounting helps where recessed boxes will not fit. For example, it suits masonry walls and exposed-structure spaces. The red finish also identifies the device as fire alarm equipment.

The back box includes a grounding plate and grounding screw. In addition, it provides threaded knockouts for 3/4-inch conduit adapters. Therefore, it supports proper grounding and clean conduit runs.
