The Edwards SIGA-MCC1 is a single-input signal module for Signature Series fire alarm systems. It is the UIO plug-in version, and it functions identically to the SIGA-CC1. Specifically, it connects a supervised Class B signal or telephone circuit to its power input. As a result, the loop controller can switch that circuit on command.
Edwards SIGA-MCC1 function and personality codes
This module drives one riser, so an installer selects its role with a personality code. First, Code 5 configures it for 24 VDC signal power or 25/70 VRMS audio evacuation. Then, Code 6 configures it for firefighter telephone service with a built-in ring-tone generator. Therefore, no separate ring-tone circuit is required.
The SIGA-MCC1 plugs into UIO2R, UIO6R, or UIO6 motherboards. In addition, electronic addressing and automatic device mapping simplify commissioning. A green LED flashes when polled, and a red LED flashes when active.
