The Silent Knight WSK-HEAT is a SWIFT intelligent wireless heat detector. It uses fixed-temperature sensing rated at 135°F. As a result, it suits spaces where smoke detectors cause nuisance alarms.
How the Silent Knight WSK-HEAT communicates
The detector is wireless and fully addressable. Specifically, it joins a SWIFT Class A mesh network to the fire alarm panel. The mesh design adds redundant communication paths. Therefore, a single weak link does not isolate the device.
Power and mounting
The WSK-HEAT runs on four CR-123A batteries, which are included. It also ships with a B501W mounting base. Because it is wireless, installation skips home-run detection wiring.
Protocol and notes
The WSK-HEAT operates on SK Protocol only. It does not work with SD Protocol. For rate-of-rise sensing, order the separate WSK-HEAT-ROR model instead.
