The STI STI-9110 large thermostat protector is a key-locked polycarbonate cover. First, it protects oversized thermostats, control panels, and similar wall devices from tampering and damage. In addition, the clear body keeps the display and indicators fully visible.
STI STI-9110 construction
First, the cover is molded from 1/8 in. thick clear polycarbonate. Specifically, the unit measures 5.37 in. H x 8.5 in. W x 3.62 in. D. Then, vent slots in the frame allow normal air circulation around the sensor. Therefore, the protected thermostat continues to read room temperature accurately. Furthermore, an inner wall blocks fingers from reaching the dials and levers underneath.
Lock and installation
First, an integrated key-lock assembly secures the cover closed. Also, two keys ship with each unit. In addition, all mounting hardware is included. As a result, the installer can hang the protector in minutes. Finally, the lock keeps unauthorized users out while allowing facility staff fast access.
STI backs the polycarbonate against breakage for three years in normal use.
