The STI STI-7710 is a UV-stabilized polycarbonate Keypad Protector. First, it shields access control keypads, card readers, and similar wall-mounted devices from abuse and accidental damage. Also, the cover blocks weather, dust, and casual tampering. As a result, exposed access devices keep working longer in lobbies, garages, and exterior entries.
STI STI-7710 cover construction
First, the body is molded from thick clear polycarbonate. In addition, a strong piano-style hinge runs the full length. Specifically, the unit measures 4.75 in. H x 8.25 in. W x 1.975 in. D. Therefore, it fits most widebody keypads. Furthermore, the cover may be mounted horizontally or vertically. As a result, it adapts to either device orientation.
Lock and back box
First, the protector ships with an open back box and a key-trapped high-security lock. Then, two keys come with the assembly. In addition, the open back box allows wiring to pass through during retrofit installs. Therefore, the device underneath stays usable without removing the cover.
STI backs this polycarbonate cover with a three-year guarantee against breakage in normal use.
