The STI STI-7730-OW is a white UV-stabilized polycarbonate Keypad Protector. First, it shields access control keypads, card readers, and similar wall devices from abuse and accidental damage. In addition, it ships with an enclosed back box and a sealing gasket. Therefore, it suits indoor and protected outdoor installs where moisture or contaminants are a concern.
STI STI-7730-OW cover construction
First, the body is molded from thick white polycarbonate. Specifically, the cover measures 4.75 in. H x 8.25 in. W x 1.975 in. D. Then, a strong piano-style hinge runs the full length of the unit. Also, the cover may be mounted horizontally or vertically. As a result, it accommodates most widebody keypads.
Lock, back box, and gasket
First, the protector ships with an enclosed back box, a sealing gasket, and a key-trapped high-security lock. Then, two keys are included with the lock assembly. In addition, the enclosed back box presents a clean surface-mount finish over conduit or in-wall wiring. Therefore, no external box is needed.
STI backs the polycarbonate against breakage for three years in normal use.
