The STI STI-9766 is a wall-mount wire guard for fire alarm horn-strobes. First, it protects the appliance from vandalism and accidental damage. In addition, the open cage preserves audible and visible alarm output. Therefore, alarm performance is not muted.
STI STI-9766 construction
First, the cage is fabricated from 9-gauge steel wire. Then, the wire is coated with corrosion-resistant white polyester. Specifically, the unit measures 8.2 in. H x 6.75 in. W x 2.9 in. D. As a result, it covers larger L Series wall-mount horn-strobes.
Mounting and service
First, the guard mounts directly to the wall over the existing appliance. In addition, mounting hardware ships with the unit. Then, installation is fast and simple. Furthermore, the cage removes easily for maintenance. As a result, ongoing service is not impeded.
This wire guard is intended for indoor use only. STI lists the unit as UL/cUL. The L Series wire guards provide protection for both ceiling and wall horn-strobes.
