The Vesda HLI-GW is a gateway that links a VESDAnet network to a fire alarm network. Specifically, it connects VESDA aspirating smoke detection to the NOTI-FIRE-NET fire alarm network. Therefore, the fire panel can monitor VESDA detectors.
The gateway works through a supervised VHX-1420-HFS communications module. In addition, that module translates VESDAnet signals into Modbus over RS-232. As a result, the fire network can annunciate up to 100 VESDA detectors as “Aspiration” devices.
