The Vesda VEA-040-A10-UL is the VESDA-E VEA-40 aspirating smoke detector from Life Safety Consultants. It delivers very early warning fire detection with pinpoint addressability. As a result, staff can locate smoke quickly.
How the Vesda VEA-040-A10-UL works
This detector draws air through a microbore tube sampling network. First, each sampling point gets its own address. Then, the detector identifies which point sees smoke. Therefore, responders can pinpoint the source fast.
The balanced network uses between 6 and 40 equivalent-length microbore tubes. In addition, the detector offers three alarm sensitivity settings per sampling point. A 3.5-inch color touchscreen display shows alarm, fault, and smoke-level status.

The VEA-040-A10 operates on an 18 to 30 VDC supply. Furthermore, it carries a UL listing for aspirating smoke detection. Always install it per the manufacturer’s product guide and NFPA 72.
