The Siemens DAC-NET Digital Audio Card (500-035100) powers voice evacuation on FireFinder XLS systems. Specifically, it serves as the audio source for the XLS Voice Evacuation System. In addition, it handles D-NET network communication across the panel.
The DAC-NET links the Person Machine Interface (PMI) with the rest of the system. Furthermore, it carries audio and data between enclosures. As a result, one card coordinates voice signals throughout a multi-enclosure installation.
Siemens DAC-NET Capabilities
The card transmits eight digital audio channels over two pairs of wire. Also, you can wire it Class A (Style 7) with four pairs. Alternatively, wire it Class B (Style 4) with two pairs.
Each XLS Voice enclosure requires one DAC-NET. The card plugs into a single slot in the CC-5 or CC-2 Card Cage. Therefore, installation stays simple and consistent.
Status and Diagnostics
On-board LEDs report system status for fast troubleshooting. Specifically, they show power, communication, internal operation, ground fault, and trouble conditions. As a result, technicians can pinpoint issues quickly.
