To activate the station, pull the white handle straight down. The handle locks into place automatically. Furthermore, the station sends a closure to the host fire alarm control panel. Specifically, the P32-1T-KL uses a 10 amp snap-action switch with gold-plated SPST contacts. Therefore, the station provides reliable signal closure across thousands of activations.
To reset, open the front cover and return the handle to its normal position. However, the front cover requires a key — so unauthorized staff cannot reset the station. As a result, the P32-1T-KL suits schools, hospitals, and other facilities where reset access must be controlled.
