The Potter Electric Signal PSN-1000E is the large-cabinet variant of the PSN-1000 intelligent 10-amp power expander. First, it carries the same P-Link RS-485 architecture as the standard PSN-1000. Then, the larger enclosure adds room for the Stacker Bracket and SLCE-127 SLC loop expanders. As a result, integrators consolidate power expansion and loop expansion in one cabinet.
Potter Electric Signal PSN-1000E outputs
The PSN-1000E provides six (6) Class B notification outputs. Alternatively, integrators configure it as three (3) Class A circuits. Specifically, each output is regulated, power-limited, and rated at 3 amps maximum. In addition, the PSN-1000E has two (2) programmable dry contact inputs. Furthermore, the dry contact inputs are Class B and supervised.
Each output is independently configurable. Specifically, options include Quadrasync strobe sync, constant power, ANSI Temporal Code 3, and pass-through pattern matching. Quadrasync covers Potter/AMSECO, Gentex, Cooper/Wheelock, and System Sensor strobes.
System architecture and reach
The PSN-1000E may be installed up to 6,500 feet from the host control panel. Furthermore, the PSN-1000E repeats the P-Link communication for another 6,500 feet downstream. Therefore, system designers reach far-flung notification zones without dedicated home-run wiring.
Up to 31 power supplies per control panel are supported. In addition, the panel supports system-wide synchronization across all power supplies. As a result, large-system strobes stay in cadence panel-wide.
