The Edwards 3-PSMON is the EST3 Power Supply Monitor Module — the local-rail half of an EST3 power supply assembly. First, the matching 3-PPS, 3-BPS, or 3-BBC power supply card mounts to the back of the chassis. Then, the 3-PSMON mounts on the local rail and distributes 24 VDC power to other LRM cards.
In addition, the 3-PSMON provides two auxiliary 3.5 A power outputs via easily accessible terminal blocks. As a result, integrators can tap auxiliary 24 VDC for ancillary loads without splicing into the rail.

How it pairs with the power supply card
Each EST3 power supply ships as two assemblies. Specifically, a switch-mode power supply card mounts to the chassis. Then the 3-PSMON monitor module mounts to the local rail and feeds it. As a result, replacement parts can be ordered separately when only the monitor half needs service. Furthermore, up to four power supplies can parallel on a rail for up to 28 A available power in a single enclosure.

The 3-PSMON is part of the UL 864-listed EST3 power supply system when paired with a 3-PPS, 3-BPS, or 3-BBC card and installed in a listed EST3 cabinet. The EST3 platform is listed to UL 864 (Control Units and Accessories for Fire Alarm Systems), ULC-S527, and additional categories per Edwards datasheet 85010-0059.
