The Genesis 43061104 is an 18 AWG, 2-conductor solid power-limited fire alarm riser cable from Southwire’s Genesis® line. It carries a triple rating of FPLR, CL3R, and CMR. As a result, installers can run it on power-limited fire alarm circuits, Class 3 circuits, and communications risers. The cable ships in a 1000-foot REELEX pull box with a red PVC jacket.

The construction features bare copper solid conductors with polypropylene insulation. In addition, the jacket is sunlight-resistant PVC. Furthermore, the cable is rated for 300 volts maximum. Installation Notes for Genesis 43061104
First, the FPLR rating allows installation in vertical risers per NEC Article 760. Then, sunlight resistance permits limited exposure to direct sunlight per NEC 310.10(D). However, this cable is NOT plenum-rated. Therefore, do not install it in air-handling spaces per NEC 300.22(C). For plenum environments, use the FPLP-rated equivalent instead.
