The Silent Knight 5883 relay interface board adds 10 general-purpose Form C relays to a Silent Knight fire alarm system. Each relay provides a dry contact closure for external equipment. As a result, one board can handle jobs like elevator recall, HVAC fan shutdown, and voice evacuation triggers.
The 5883 works together with the Silent Knight 5880 LED/IO module. Specifically, open-collector outputs on the 5880 activate each relay individually. Furthermore, one 5880 can drive up to four 5883 boards. That combination yields up to 40 mapped relay outputs per 5880.
