The System Sensor B224RB-WH is a 6-inch intelligent relay base in white. It mounts a System Sensor addressable detector head and adds a built-in Form C relay. As a result, the detector can control auxiliary functions directly at the base.
Installers use the relay for tasks like elevator recall and door release. Specifically, the Form C latching contacts switch external equipment on alarm. Therefore, no separate relay module is required at the device.
System Sensor B224RB-WH Relay Operation
The relay uses a two-coil latching design for stable operation. In addition, the activation delay is selectable. First, a short delay runs 60 to 100 milliseconds. Alternatively, a long delay runs 6 to 10 seconds.
The base operates on 15 to 32 VDC. Standby current stays at 170 µA. Furthermore, communication takes place over the power lines through the installed detector head.
