The Edwards 5520D-AW is a Duotronic horn/siren that operates on 24 VDC. First, it produces both horn and siren tones electronically. Then an internal, tamper-proof switch selects which tone the device sounds. As a result, one appliance covers two signaling needs.
Edwards 5520D-AW signaling output
This is a low-current, high-decibel notification appliance. Specifically, it delivers strong audible output for demanding environments. In addition, the diode-polarized circuit supports supervised signaling on compatible systems. Therefore, installers gain flexibility without adding hardware.
Mounting
The 5520D-AW uses a universal Adaptaplate for fast installation. First, the installer lands all field wiring on the plate. Then the horn simply snaps onto the mounted plate. Also, it fits single-gang openings and common octagon or square boxes.
Listings
The device carries UL listing and FM Approval. Therefore, it meets recognized standards for signaling appliances.
