The Edwards G1M-RM is the remote-mount version of the Genesis Signal Master synchronization module. First, it provides precision strobe synchronization for a notification appliance circuit. In addition, it enables independent horn silence on Genesis horn-strobes over the same single pair of wires.
This module is NOT a strobe. As a result, do not order this part expecting visible notification output. Instead, the G1M-RM is the sync source that drives separately wired Genesis strobes, horn-strobes, and audible bases.
What the Edwards G1M-RM does
The Signal Master serves two purposes on a single circuit. First, it synchronizes strobe flashes from devices on the NAC to within 10 ms of each other indefinitely. As a result, the system exceeds the UL 1971 two-hour synchronization requirement. Second, it enables horn silencing while strobes continue to flash. Therefore, occupants get continuous visible signaling even after audible silence.

The G1M attaches directly to a Genesis device. By contrast, the G1M-RM mounts to its own 1-gang electrical box. Therefore, the G1M-RM is the right choice when the sync module must be located independently of the notification appliances. Both modules provide identical sync and horn-silence behavior.
Alternative synchronization sources
For Signature Series intelligent NACs, the SIGA-CC1S (2-gang) and SIGA-MCC1S (UIO plug-in) provide equivalent synchronization output. Also, the BPS6A and BPS10A booster power supplies include integrated sync that drives Genesis circuits directly.
