The Edwards G4SWF is a Genesis LED G4S Series wall-mount speaker in white with FIRE marking. First, it is a speaker only. As a result, it does NOT include a strobe. For wall speaker-strobe coverage, see the G4SVWF instead.
The G4S Series uses a low-profile housing that protrudes about 1.5 inches from the mounting surface. In addition, it is designed for both new construction and retrofit installations. Therefore, it can replace legacy Xenon-era speakers on the same circuit without rewiring.
Edwards G4SWF audio configuration
Two switches under the cover let the installer configure the speaker without removing it from the wall. First, a voltage switch selects between 25 VRMS or 70 VRMS speaker operation. Then, a wattage tap switch selects 1/4 W, 1/2 W, 1 W, or 2 W output. As a result, one part number adapts to any standard fire alarm audio system. The wattage setting remains visible through a small window after the cover is reinstalled.

Speech intelligibility and sleeping areas
The G4S Series delivers a Speech Transmission Index (STI) rating of 0.81. As a result, voice messages remain intelligible across large areas. Furthermore, the appliance meets NFPA and UL 520 Hz low-frequency requirements for sleeping areas. Therefore, it is suitable for hotels, dormitories, and other residential occupancies when paired with approved audio hardware delivering a 520 Hz tone.

Required mounting plate
The G4SWF mounts to the GRSW universal room-side wiring plate. Therefore, order the GRSW-10 (10-pack) separately. The room-side plate enables pre-installation and pre-wiring with a diagnostics check bar to verify continuity before the device snaps into place.
FIRE marking and color variants
The “WF” suffix decodes as White housing with FIRE marking (English). Also available: G4SWF-FR (FEU French), G4SWF-SP (FUEGO Spanish), G4SWN (white, no marking), G4SRF (red, FIRE marking), and G4SWA (white, ALERT marking). Cover skins are quick-swap, so the marking can be changed in the field via replacement -CVR covers.
