The Edwards G4SWN wall speaker is a Genesis LED G4S Series speaker in white with no FIRE marking. First, it is a speaker only — there is NO strobe. As a result, this part fits installations where strobe coverage is handled separately or where “FIRE” lettering is not desired.
The G4S Series combines a low-profile housing with field-selectable voltage and wattage. Therefore, one model number adapts to most commercial fire alarm audio systems.
Edwards G4SWN wall speaker configuration
Two field switches sit under the device cover. First, a voltage switch toggles between 25 VRMS and 70 VRMS audio operation. Next, a wattage tap selects 1/4, 1/2, 1, or 2 W output. Each tap raises the reverberant UL 1480 sound output by 3 dBA. As a result, the installer can fine-tune coverage without swapping appliances.

Required accessory
The G4SWN mounts to the GRSW universal room-side wiring plate. Therefore, order the GRSW-10 (10-pack) separately. In addition, optional G4TW white trim plates cover oversized rough-in openings.
Cover marking can be changed later
The no-marking (“N”) cover can be swapped in the field for any of the replacement covers: G4SWN-CVR (none), G4SWF-CVR (FIRE), G4SWA-CVR (ALERT), G4SWF-FR-CVR (FEU), G4SWF-SP-CVR (FUEGO). As a result, the same body adapts to changing facility needs.
What this speaker is not
The G4SWN is a speaker without a strobe. Therefore, it cannot serve as a visible notification appliance. For wall-mount speaker/strobe coverage in the same series, specify G4SVWN (no marking) or G4SVWF (FIRE marking).
