The Edwards G4WA-S7 is a Genesis G4 Series wall-mount speaker in white with ALERT marking, configured for 70 V audio. First, it is a speaker only. As a result, this part does NOT include a strobe. For speaker-strobe coverage, see the G4WA-S7VMC (clear strobe) or G4WA-S7VMA (amber strobe) variants in the same line.

The “ALERT” marking pairs this speaker with mass notification and emergency communications systems where the signaled event is broader than fire alone. Therefore, it suits applications such as severe weather, intrusion, or general announcement use.

Edwards G4WA-S7 audio configuration

This SKU is the 70 V audio version of the wall-mount Genesis G4 family. Furthermore, the device features field-selectable wattage taps (typically 1/4, 1/2, 1, and 2 W per the Genesis platform) to fine-tune sound pressure level for each install. As a result, one part number adapts to varying coverage requirements.

What this speaker is not

The G4WA-S7 is not a fire alarm-marked appliance. Instead, the “Alert” cover routes it toward mass notification or general signaling roles. Also, it does not include a strobe. Therefore, if the install needs a visible notification appliance, specify one of the -VMC or -VMA variants. Furthermore, the newer Genesis LED G4S Series (G4SWA, G4SVWA) is preferred for new installations due to lower current draw and field-swappable covers.
