The Farenhyt IDP-FIRE-CO-IV is a plug-in addressable detector that monitors fire and carbon monoxide together. It uses four sensing elements in one head and ships in an ivory housing.
First, the detector samples smoke, CO, light/flame, and heat at the same time. Then, the panel correlates those signals to decide if a real fire event is occurring. As a result, the IDP-FIRE-CO-IV improves sensitivity to actual fires and rejects more nuisance particulates.
In addition, a separate electrochemical cell generates a dedicated life-safety CO signal. Therefore, the detector covers both UL 268 fire and UL 2075 CO life-safety roles in one device.
