The Farenhyt IDP-PHOTOR is an intelligent addressable photoelectric smoke detector with remote test. It plugs into Silent Knight Farenhyt addressable panels. Specifically, the panel can test the detector remotely, without ladder access.
In addition, the detector uses an enhanced photoelectric sensing chamber. As a result, it catches the slow, smoldering fires common in commercial buildings.
How the Farenhyt IDP-PHOTOR Detects Smoke
Photoelectric sensing reacts to light scattered by smoke particles. Therefore, it responds early to visible-particle fires. Also, programmable sensitivity is monitored and reported to the panel.
Furthermore, the IDP-PHOTOR communicates on the Silent Knight SLC using FlashScan. First, set the address with the rotary decimal switches. Then the panel polls the device and runs the remote test feature.
