Farenhyt RPS-1000B Intelligent Power Supply
The Farenhyt RPS-1000B is an intelligent distributed power module for Silent Knight addressable systems. It expands both power and circuits in a black cabinet. First, it adds capacity to a compatible Farenhyt panel. Then it powers more devices farther from the main panel.
Power and circuits
The RPS-1000B adds 6.0 amps of usable power. In addition, it provides six Flexput I/O circuits. Each Flexput circuit is rated 3.0 A, with 6.0 A total. It also includes two programmable Form C relays, rated 2.5 A at 24 VDC. Furthermore, the module supports its own backup batteries and monitors AC power.
Wiring and protection
The module connects to the panel over the RS-485 SBUS. As a result, it acts as an SBUS repeater. This conditions the signal and drives up to 6,000 additional feet of wiring. Moreover, the RPS-1000B is optically isolated. Therefore, it provides ground-loop isolation and transient protection. The metal cabinet holds two 17 Ah batteries.
