The Fire-Lite DHSBPC-1-1-1-1 is a replacement door holder armature plate. It mounts to the door face. Then it mates with an electromagnetic door holder coil mounted on the wall.
The armature itself is a passive ferrous plate with a flexible mounting pivot. Specifically, the wall-mounted electromagnet provides the holding force. As a result, on alarm the panel drops magnet power, the armature releases, and the fire door swings closed under its self-closing hardware.
How the Fire-Lite DHSBPC-1-1-1-1 Fits Into the System
First, the building’s fire alarm control panel energizes the door-holder magnet circuit during normal operation. Then, on alarm, the panel removes power from that circuit. Finally, the armature separates from the magnet and the door closes. As a result, the building’s compartmentalization holds during a fire event.

However, mount stud length, plate diameter, and pivot stem geometry vary by revision. Therefore, field-verify your existing armature dimensions before ordering. Important Note About Listings
An armature is a passive ferrous plate with no electrical or mechanical rating of its own. Specifically, the holding force is provided by the wall-mounted magnet, not by the armature.
