The Gentex GX93-R (Gentex part number 904-1276-002) is a 12/24 VDC mini-horn with a red faceplate. It provides remote audible annunciation for fire alarm circuits.
First, a jumper selects continuous or temporal-3 tone output. Then, the appliance can synchronize with other Gentex signals using the AVSM Series Control Module. As a result, one mini-horn covers a range of single-gang remote annunciation applications.
Gentex GX93-R Specifications
The mini-horn operates at 12 VDC (8–17.5 V) or 24 VDC (16–33 V), determined by input voltage. Furthermore, it is listed for both filtered and unfiltered (full-wave rectified) DC power. The horn frequency is 3100 Hz.
At 24 VDC on temporal 3, current draw is 18 mA (UL Max). In continuous mode at 24 VDC, current is 21.1 mA. Anechoic sound output is 90 dBA at 10 ft. Reverberant output ranges 78–86 dBA at 10 ft per ANSI/UL 464.
Unit dimensions are 4.48″ × 2.84″ × 0.5″ (11.38 × 7.21 × 1.27 cm). The terminal block accepts 12–18 AWG wire. Additionally, the appliance is polarized for electrical supervision of the system wiring.

Installation Notes
Operating temperature is 32 °F to 120 °F (0 °C to 49 °C). However, the Gentex GX93-R is not listed for outdoor use. In addition, the appliance is not recommended for coded or pulsing signaling circuits. The mini-horn mounts to a variety of single-gang back boxes for both new construction and retrofit work.
