The KIDDE COMMERCIAL EGCARF is a ceiling-mount Genesis LED EGC Series fire alarm horn. Specifically, it ships with a red housing and the “FIRE” marking.
First, the EGCARF mounts to the included GP10 (or GRSW-10) room-side wiring plate. Then, the horn snaps into the plate, simplifying pre-install and pre-wire. Furthermore, a diagnostics check bar verifies electrical continuity before the cover goes on.
In addition, the EGC horn supports either constant or three-pulse temporal (T3) coding. Therefore, the same SKU works for either steady or NFPA 72 temporal patterns by sliding the on-cover tone selector switch.

Mounting and Trim
First, the EGC family fits 1-gang, 2-gang, 4-inch octagon, and 4-inch square electrical boxes. In addition, the optional EGCT trim plate (0.3 in deep, 10.6 in diameter) covers oversized openings. Furthermore, color-matched double-gang surface boxes are available for surface installations.
