KIDDE (GSA-MCC1S) Single Input (Riser) Module – UIO Mount.

The Kidde GSA-MCC1S is a single-input signal module for the Signature loop. Specifically, it terminates one supervised output circuit on its own field-wired enclosure. As a result, it operates as the standard-mount sibling of the UIO plug-in GSA-MCC1.

Furthermore, the module connects a 24 VDC notification riser or a 25/70 V audio evacuation riser to its output. Then, the personality code at commissioning selects between signal-power, audio, and telephone modes.

How the Kidde GSA-MCC1S Works

The Signature loop controller assigns the module’s address automatically. In addition, no DIP switches or rotary addressing are used. As a result, replacement requires only the address label, not re-programming each device.

Also, the module does not supervise the riser itself. Instead, the fire alarm panel performs that function. However, the output circuit is monitored for opens and shorts at all times.

• Notification appliance circuit (NAC) for horns or strobes
• Audio evacuation speaker circuit at 25 V or 70 V
• Class B signal riser break-out in a standard mount
• Telephone riser selector with optional ring-tone generation
