The Kidde VS1-R is a single-loop intelligent addressable fire alarm control panel with a red door. It serves small to mid-size commercial buildings that need 64 addressable points or fewer.
Specifically, the VS1 ships with one loop controller. As a result, that loop supports up to 64 Signature Series intelligent devices in any combination of detectors and modules. However, the VS1 panel’s device capacity cannot be expanded beyond 64 points.
In addition, the panel includes two Class B notification appliance circuits as standard. Furthermore, those NACs can be converted to Class A using optional adapters.

Communication Options
First, the SA-ETH Ethernet card supports remote diagnostics and programming. Then, the SA-DACT card adds dual-line digital alarm communicator (DACT/dialer) reporting. Also, the SA-232 card provides an RS-232 serial port for printers or third-party equipment.
