The Notifier LCD-160 is a 640-character liquid crystal display annunciator and remote control. Specifically, it is built for the NFS-3030, NFS2-3030, and NCA-2. Furthermore, it mimics the top 160 characters of the NFS-3030 / NFS2-3030 main display.
The screen is 40 characters wide by 16 lines deep. As a result, operators see the same event and pre-programmed messages they would see at the panel. In addition, the bottom portion of the screen carries soft-key labels and other panel context.
How the Notifier LCD-160 connects
First, wire the LCD-160 to the panel over the Remote Data Port (RDP) bus. Then, connect a non-resettable 24 VDC supply. Furthermore, the RDP bus can drive up to 32 RDP devices. The last device on the bus terminates with an enabled end-of-line resistor.
The 24 VDC power can come from the panel itself, from a main supply (e.g. AMPS-24), or from an auxiliary supply (e.g. APS2-6R). However, if devices share a remote supply, all units must share a common reference. Also, the LCD-160 reserves an input for the AKS-1B keyswitch.

Mounting options
First, the ABS-2D / ABS-2DR and ABS-4D / ABS-4DR backboxes offer surface or semi-flush install. However, those four boxes do NOT support the AKS-1B keyswitch. Alternatively, an ABF-2B, ABF-2DB, or ABF-4B flush enclosure works in finished walls. Furthermore, a CAB-4 Series cabinet with a DP-DISP or ADP-4B dress panel covers the in-cabinet path.
