The Edwards LKC-10 is a field-changeable lens marking kit for Integrity 757-Series and Genesis G1-Series speaker-strobes. First, it provides an ALERT marking with ceiling orientation. As a result, installers can repurpose an existing fire-marked speaker-strobe for mass notification or ECS use without replacing the appliance.
The Edwards LKC-10 is a passive lens kit. Specifically, it contains no electronics, no electrical interface, and no wiring connections. Therefore, the lens kit simply snaps onto the parent strobe to change the printed marking. Furthermore, the marking change does not affect the strobe candela output, current draw, or synchronization behavior.
Application
Use the LKC-10 when converting a fire alarm strobe to a mass notification or ECS device. For example, dual-purpose buildings may install Integrity speaker-strobes with standard FIRE marking but reassign zones to ALERT for severe-weather notification. Then the LKC-10 lens kit changes the visible marking to match the new system mode. Also, the AHJ may require specific markings for ECS deployments per NFPA 72.
Ceiling vs Wall Orientation
The lens letters are oriented for ceiling-mounted appliances on the LKC-10. In contrast, the LKW-10 has the same ALERT marking with wall-orientation lettering. As a result, order the variant that matches the appliance mounting orientation. The standard LKW-1 / LKC-1 lens kits provide FIRE marking; lens kits 2 through 9 cover other languages and markings.
Compatibility
The Edwards LKC-10 fits the 757-Series Integrity speaker-strobes (757-5A, 757-7A, 757-3A, 757-4A, 757-8A variants). In addition, it fits matching Genesis-compatible strobes that share the same lens-frame design. Therefore, verify the appliance generation before ordering – older legacy strobe families used different lens mounting.
Installation
Installation is tool-less. Specifically, remove the existing lens, slide the LKC-10 lens kit in place, and snap the cover closed. Then the new marking is permanently visible until the next field swap. Furthermore, no rewiring or panel reprogramming is required.
