MACURCO (PM400-IR) Multi-Gas Monitor – Infrared LEL Sensor

The Macurco PM400-IR is a portable multi-gas monitor for oxygen, hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, and combustible gases. Specifically, the IR variant uses a non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) LEL sensor instead of catalytic bead.

First, the PM400-IR samples ambient air by diffusion and reads all four gases at once. Then, it shows concentrations on a backlit LCD with audible and visual alarms. As a result, workers in confined spaces and industrial environments see hazards immediately.

In addition, the NDIR LEL sensor cannot be poisoned by silicones, sulfides, or other compounds. Furthermore, it does not require oxygen to operate. Therefore, the PM400-IR keeps working in environments that would disable a catalytic-bead detector.
