The Notifier cpu2-3030d is the replacement CPU board with onboard display for Notifier ONYX-series fire alarm panels. It is a service-grade swap, not a new installation component.
What the cpu2-3030d Does
First, the CPU board is the brain of the panel. Then, the integrated display provides local status, event history, and diagnostic information at the panel face. As a result, swapping the CPU2-3030D restores both processing and the operator interface in one part.
In addition, the board supports the panel’s FlashScan addressable protocol for individual device identification on the SLC.
Panel Compatibility
The CPU2-3030D is the CPU module for the Notifier NFS2-3030 ONYX series panel. However, the original NFS-3030 uses an earlier CPU revision — confirm the panel model and current firmware revision against the Notifier service documentation before installing the CPU2-3030D as a drop-in replacement.
Service Notes
After installation, the panel program file must be reloaded. Specifically, the new CPU does not retain the prior panel’s site programming. Therefore, schedule the swap when site documentation and a programming tool are available.
Also, factory-defective CPU board returns may be required by the supplier — verify return-policy terms at order time.
