Notifier CPU2-640 Central Processing Unit

The Notifier CPU2-640 central processing unit is the brain of the NFS2-640 intelligent fire alarm control panel. First, it ships factory-mounted on a chassis. In addition, it includes an integral 24 VDC power supply. Furthermore, the CPU2-640 is part of the Notifier ONYX Series.

Notifier CPU2-640 Central Processing Capacity

The CPU2-640 supports one SLC loop, expandable to two. As a result, the panel can address up to 159 detectors plus 159 modules per loop. Therefore, a fully expanded NFS2-640 handles 636 devices total. In addition, the panel networks with up to 103 ONYX network nodes when needed.

Power and Notification

• Integral power supply: 3.0 A standby, 6.0 A in alarm
• Four (4) Notification Appliance Circuits, Class A or B, 1.5 A each
• Resettable regulated 24 V output: 1.25 A
• Non-resettable 5 V output: 0.15 A

Listings

The CPU2-640 is UL/ULC Listed (S635) and FM Approved per Honeywell datasheet DN-7111. Therefore, it meets the listings expected for a commercial fire alarm control unit. In addition, options include single- or multi-channel voice, firefighter’s telephone, and LED/LCD/PC annunciators.
